The "Angler's Retreat" is an ideal fly fishing package for anglers who want to seize the moment--to fish a variety of different water types, depending on your interest, the skills you have or wish to master, and conditions on site. With a Flywater Adventures guide as instructor and host, anglers may try estuaries, small creeks, coastal rivers or lakes. In other words, we run with the fish.

Our early season fisheries focus on gorgeous sea run Dolly Varden and cutthroat trout. By mid-summer the first salmon (chum and pink salmon) enter the estuaries. Casting to these chrome-bright acrobats creates a sport too fine to miss. The procession of fresh fish continues through September, when the silver salmon peak, and when local waters are rarely even fished, much less pressured. Our angler guests often insist "This is the Alaska I hoped to see!"
